The "Power of Pink!" luncheon is considered by many as the signature breast cancer education and awareness event in Deep East Texas. It's presented by CommonSpirit St. Luke's Hospital in Lufkin and Livingston, and over the past couple of decades, it has empowered thousands of women with vital knowledge regarding breast cancer signs, symptoms, early detection, and modern treatment options.

Tables for eight ($500) and single tickets ($60) are currently available for purchase. Tickets are available at the Cashier's Office (located next to the Registration area on the main floor of St. Luke’s in Lufkin). The Temple Cancer Center's East Texas Impact

Proceeds from the event enable St. Luke’s Hospital and the Temple Cancer Center to provide crucial resources and support to local cancer patients. While the Temple Cancer Center continues to integrate advanced technology and expand its expert team, its core philosophy remains steadfast. “What many people don’t realize is that we cure 70% of cancers today,” says Dr. Sid Roberts. “That cure rate goes up for those who are diagnosed early. For most people, cancer is not a death sentence.”

This Year's Keynote Speaker

Both "Power of Pink!" luncheons will feature keynote speaker Sarah E. McDonald, a two-time cancer survivor and author of The Cancer Channel. McDonald, a motivational speaker known for sharing her journey with dignity and grace, offers a unique perspective on resilience. With an honest and vulnerable voice, she recounts her experiences battling cancer in ways that are both poignant and lighthearted, finding humor even in the most difficult stories.
