Halloween is here and there are a number of events and attractions around the area.  Let's check out some of them. 

Total Insanity Haunted Park

The Hudson Volunteer Fire Department has hosted this event for the past 10 years and it only gets bigger and better.  They feature 3 haunted attractions, none of which are intended for small children.  However, there is a hay ride that is small kid friendly.  Check out their website or Facebook page for more details.

Haunted House in Nacogdoches

The Nacogdoches Jaycees and Sigma Tau Gamma present one of the scariest treats around.  The haunted house is located at the back entrance of University Mall at 1122 North University Drive in Nacogdoches.

Haunted House in Diboll

Project Graduation for the Class of 2013 in Diboll is hosting a haunted house at the Diboll Primary School behind Brookshire Brothers in Diboll.  Cost for the haunted house is $5.00 per person.

Halls of Horror

Happening at the old armory behind Kiwanis Park in Lufkin.  This is NOT intended for children under 13.  There will be a special kid-friendly time slot from 3-5 today.  You will probably get wet and/or bloodied, so don't wear your favorite clothes.  You have been warned.

Downtown Merchants offer area children (12 and under) a safe and fun opportunity to trick-or-treat. Over 2000 attend the event. Businesses decorate and give candy to area children. Participating businesses are awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the best window decoration and employee participation. The event starts at 3:00 pm.
