Harris County Sheriff Proudly Displays ‘Politically Incorrect’ Welcome Sign
Mike Jolley has been the sheriff in Harris County in Georgia for nearly 25 years. The county is located on the Alabama state line, southeast of Atlanta. The area is described by many as a conservation, bedroom community.
So, it should come as no surprise that a vast majority of the residents of the county have no problem at all with a new sign paid for by the sheriff. The sign welcomes motorists passing by the sheriff's headquarters with the following words:
“WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you … LEAVE!”
According to a report, Sheriff Jolley put the sign up because it was a way for the silent majority to speak up.
