High School Football Season is Here!

Are you ready for some....well, you know how it goes.

The lights on gridirons across the Pineywoods will be shining as we get high school football underway.  A number of East Texas schools will get their season underway tonight in what is called 'week zero' of the season. 

First, a quick note, football players, band members, drill team, cheerleaders, pep squad, anyone who will be going to the games...stay hydrated...the heat index will still be close to 100 as many games are getting underway.

There are many great match-ups in this first week, in fact the ETSN.fm game of the week is one that will be taking place at Abe Martin Stadium as the Lufkin Panthers will play host to the John Tyler Lions.  The Pack will be trying to avenge last season's loss to JT, 35-21.

In fact, the season got underway Thursday night as the Timpson Bears defeated Tyler All Saints 55-7.
