It is currently not known how long US 59 will be closed. Motorists should expect delays on this two-lane detour that will re-enter US 59 north and south of Livingston. Prepare for delays.

The Texas Department of Transportation is reporting a hazardous material spill on US 59 North in Polk County at the weigh station near Livingston. At the time of this report, (12:50 p.m.), both north and southbound lanes are closed. Haz Mat crews are in route.
