Angelina Beautiful Clean Passes Out Saplings For Arbor Day

If you live in Deep East Texas there is one feature of the landscape you can always rely on. Trees are everywhere, and we love them.

Angelina Beautiful Clean, Texas A&M Forest Service, and Reforest Lufkin are celebrating Texas Arbor Day with a free seedling giveaway. Today (Nov 1) is Texas Arbor Day for 2024, but this event is coming up on November 9, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 Noon.

It will be held in Lufkin's Morris Frank Park Wetlands Area off Windsor Drive. Many local businesses and agencies have supported and sponsored this event, and now they need you.

Enhance The Habitat Of Lufkin's Morris Frank Park Wetlands

During the event, you will help them plant trees in the park and enhance habitats that protect local wildlife. Volunteers will take home a free native tree as a thank-you.

Angelina Beautiful Clean Wins Prestigious H-E-B Grant

While celebrating Texas Arbor Day with a free tree seedling giveaway at Lowe's earlier today in Lufkin, Angelina Beautiful Clean learned they were the recipient of the "Our Texas, Our Future" H-E-B grant.

They were selected with 12 other Keep Texas Beautiful affiliates for the award statewide. They will use the funds to support their grant-winning idea of hosting an EcoCamp designed to inspire and educate our county youth about taking care of the environment.

Thanks to the grant, they will have the opportunity to teach school-aged children ways to reduce waste, upcycle, and how to keep our environment clean.
