  • Drink craft beers and help the Ellen Trout Zoo
  • Sample interesting beers, enjoy free appetizers, and see the zoo after dark (without kids!)
  • Don't like beer? Don't worry there are non-alcoholic and gluten-free options.

If you know someone whose identity is mostly the type of craft beer that they drink, the Ellen Trout Zoo has something for them and for you. The Ellen Trout Zoo "Zoo Brew" is coming up on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 7 PM to 10 PM.

This is the 10th Zoo Brew, even though it started 11 years ago because of COVID. This is a 21-and-up fundraiser for the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin.

Tickets are $50, and for an extra $20 you can add a commemorative shirt to your cart. There will be a lot going on while you are there to make that ticket price worth it.

Bryan Harkness Live At Ellen Trout Zoo - Zoo Brew

I have personally attended this event in the past and it is an entire situation. There is so much going on simultaneously during this three-hour timeframe, you have to be on your game to get it all in.

Bryan Harkness will be there performing, but the real star of the show will be all the interesting beers that you will get to try. Going around to all the booths and sampling is the name of the game.

Local restaurants will be passing out complimentary appetizers at the different booths around the zoo. This is the only after dark, kid-free time that you can really experience all the zoo has to offer.

This year they have been working hard to provide gluten-free options at Zoo Brew as well. Lufkin Coca-Cola will be providing lots of non-alcoholic drinks at the event, so even if you don't drink beer this event should still be on your list.
