Kitchen gadgets are anything that you use to cook in your kitchen that isn't permanently mounted. Everyone needs a sink, refrigerator, stove, and microwave.

You also need a good set of knives. They aren't gadgets IMO, but buying a good knife is a must for any home chef.

Mixing bowls, cutting boards, a good whisk, and serving spoons are also not on our list.
