Nacogdoches Teacher Arrested On Child Endangerment Charge

On March 28, 2025, the Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office was notified of an outcry from a child during a forensic interview at Harold's House. According to the Daily Sentinel, that set off a chain of events that landed a Nacogdoches educator and her husband behind bars.

Camille Floyd Lanier, 46, was a teacher at Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary. She was arrested on March 31 and charged with one count of child endangerment.

Her husband is Nikolai Alexi Lanier, 44, and he was arrested on April 4. Nikolai Lanier remains behind bars and is charged with four separate counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

She Knew That He Continued To Assault Children

In the interview with the child, they said Nikolai Lanier sexually assaulted them many times in 2021 when they were 11. Camille Lanier was made aware of the assaults in December 2024.

The arrest record indicates that upon confrontation, her husband did not deny the abuse. Despite this confirmation, she neglected to take the necessary steps to protect the child.

Her failure to report the suspected child abuse and neglect is a crime in Texas. Professionals, including teachers, should report suspected abuse or neglect.

Camille Lanier faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted and a fine of up to $10,000. Her husband, Nikolai, is in jail with a combined bond amount of $400,000.
