Felony Arrests In Angelina County April 21-27
Today's featured image has three people featured; they were all arrested for allegedly committing the same felony. Assaulting a public servant is a third-degree felony, and sadly, part of the job when it comes to law enforcement.
In Texas, assault on a public servant carries a punishment of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. The term public servant covers a lot more than law enforcement officers.
Some of them might have assaulted a judge, juror, attorney, or other government employee. If the public servant is actively acting in the capacity of their job when you assault them, it's a worse charge than just assaulting anyone on the street.

As a police officer, I assume you are aware that you might have to scuffle with someone occasionally. Assaulting any one of these other people would likely result in even worse charges, as they didn't sign up for battery in the course of their duties.
