Crime Stoppers Seeks Leads on Boot Barn Shoplifters
Boots aren't cheap. I should know, I wear them almost every day. However, they're not worth stealing and facing drastic consequences for. But that's exactly what might happen to a couple of people in Lufkin.
Couple Wanted for Shoplifting from Boot Barn in Lufkin
According to the Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers Facebook page, two people entered the Bootbarn store in Lufkin, removed the antitheft devices from a pair of boots, concealed them in the man's pants, and left the store without paying for them.
Here's the post I'm referring to:
So, I have a few questions...First off, isn't it pretty difficult to get those little antitheft things removed? I know that all the stores have nifty little magnet devices to make that happen, but I thought it was pretty difficult - as it should be - to remove them without those. Maybe I'm mistaken.
Second, HOW did they conceal boots in that man's pants? I realize that the picture doesn't show his backside, so there's that, but I'm still having a lot of difficulty getting my mind wrapped around the fact that somehow, he managed to conceal a pair of boots in those jeans.

Lastly, why do you think that a pair of boots is worth going to jail over? I promise that they're not THAT important. And there's no way that you can convince me otherwise.
