Well, it's official, and it officially takes place starting next week. What am I talking about? Mimsy's Craft Barbecue - as we've known it over the past five years - goes away and a new restaurant concept takes its place.

Mimsy's Craft Barbecue is Rebranding as Pecan and Sage Supper Club

Awhile back I did a post about Mimsy's rebranding and changing into a different restaurant, away from the barbecue joint that they've been since 2020. On August 21st - after several teasers about the rebrand - they put up a "Breaking News" post on their Facebook about how this change was going to take place in early September. It said, "In early September we will be rebranding away from bbq and more towards a sit down southern restaurant with smoked items on the menu and a completely new name and brand."

Since then, there have been some other posts up about the change, but the most definitive one was posted on September 1st. Take a look for yourself:

So, there it is. Mimsy's is going away, while Pecan and Sage Supper Club will move in. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to miss the BBQ place. It is what it is. However, I'm very excited to see what's next for owners Wade and Kathy Elkins as they take on this new venture.

They did post a story on Facebook with a menu from Pecan and Sage, but it's not currently posted, so it looks like everyone will have to wait until next week to find out what kinds of greatness they'll be serving up next.

I was looking through some of my pictures that I've taken at Mimsy's over the past few years. I know that the pictures don't really do it justice, but take a look for yourself:

A Few Pictures from Mimsy's Craft Barbecue

Mimsy's Craft Barbecue in Crockett has been a big deal since they opened in 2020. Now, they're rebranding as Pecan and Sage Supper Club. As they get set to wrap up their time as Mimsy's, take a look at just a few pictures that I've taken of the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Joint.
