Nacogdoches Named One of Top 12 Best Downtowns in Texas

This opinion might be biased, but I don't really care. When it comes to downtown areas, Nacogdoches has one of the best. Could there be more to do there? Sure. Could there be a better selection of things? Probably. But I'm still proud of the downtown scene and all that goes on there.

Now, it looks like others are taking notice of the brick streets of Nac as well. One publication has even put it as one of the top in Texas!

Nacogdoches is One of the 12 Best Downtowns in Texas

According to World Atlas, Downtown Nacogdoches is good enough to make it into the 12 Best Downtowns in Texas. It talks about Nacogdoches having a "very well-preserved historic downtown district". It then goes on to talk about some of the other attractions like Sterne-Hoya House, Festival Park, and they even mention the Texas Blueberry Festival!

Out of all the cities in Texas, I'd say that making into the top 12 is a pretty cool accomplishment. There's no shortage of towns with great downtown areas in the state of Texas, and the list from World Atlas just shows how steep the competition is. The full list goes like this (in this order):

Fredericksburg
Georgetown
Granbury
Jefferson
Brenham
Bastrop
Nacogdoches
Waxahachie
Port Lavaca
Alpine
Gonzales
Marble Falls

As you can see, the competition is pretty tough when it comes to downtowns. Any of those are really awesome places to visit. But I think that Nacogdoches being on that list is well-deserved. Again, I might be biased, but I think Downtown Nac can hold its own against all of them.
