Here Are The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo Mutton Busting Riders

The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo is coming up March 26-28 at the Nacogdoches Expo and Civic Center. Each evening, just before the rodeo gets underway, 15 youngsters will compete in the mutton busting competition. A record number of entries were received over the past few weeks at Boot Barn, and the drawings for the 45 riders have taken place.

A Few Notes About The Drawings

One of the first things done before the drawing is to check for evidence of 'stuffing the box' with entries. It's within the rules to make multiple visits to Boot Barn and submit an entry each time, but submitting multiple entries during a single visit will result in all of them being discarded.

Also, if siblings are drawn, we will try our best to make sure they ride on the same night. With so many entries, however, there were several instances where one sibling was drawn, and not the other. The riders listed below are set for the night indicated; transferring to a different night is not allowed.

If chosen for this contest, the child and a parent or guardian must both be present at the check-in table in the lobby of the Expo Center no later than 6:45 pm on their designated night. Children will be given instructions and safety equipment before participating. Children not present by 6:45 will forfeit their spot. The child and 1 parent will be given free admission to the rodeo.
