No, 7 Brew Coffee in Lufkin Isn’t Open…Yet

If you've driven down Timberland Drive in Lufkin lately, you've probably seen the new 7 Brew Coffee. It's located at the intersection of Timberland Drive and Chestnut Street - 202 South Timberland Drive, to be exact. I've been keeping an eye on the location, not because I'm a coffee fanatic, but because I like keeping up with the new additions to Deep East Texas. Plus, I pass by there every day on my way to work, so it's been cool to see the work progression, and I look forward to seeing it complete.

Last week, as I drove by, there were tons of cars there. I didn't think that it was officially open, because there were no "Now Open" signs or anything like that. However, there was still a line at the drive-thru, completely full. This is what I saw:

As I did some research, I discovered that it wasn't officially open. The 7 Brew website still has the Lufkin location listed as "Coming Soon" with an opening date of January 19, 2026. But still, it didn't have any information about why there were so many people there on one day last week. Obviously, it wasn't interviews for new workers.

So naturally, I kept looking into the matter - on Facebook, of course, where ALL of the reliable information comes from (Yes, that is indeed sarcasm. However, I did find some real answers). Apparently, they did a single day of free drinks. I assume they wanted to give people a sample of what they could expect once the doors - or at least the drive-thru lanes - open on January 19th.

So, to all of you who thought that 7 Brew Coffee was officially open in Lufkin: I'm sorry, but they're not open just yet. However, the opening is right around the corner, so get ready!
