NET Health food safety inspections happen daily throughout Smith County and across East Texas. It's the job of the inspectors to make sure that restaurant management and employees are following and adhering to established procedures when it comes to preparing, handling, and serving food to the public.

We like to know that the food we purchase has been prepared and handled properly, but there are occasions when restaurants have an 'off day', but that one 'off day' could be the difference between someone catching an illness or possibly dying from some kind of contamination.

NET Health grades these restaurants on a demerit system. The lower the score the better the inspection. Restaurants strive for a '0', but these restaurants missed the mark during their last inspection.

While these restaurants had issues with keeping food held at the proper temperatures, handwashing issues with the employees along other minor issues, these Tyler area restaurants had a perfect score after being inspected by NET Health.
