Keith Urban Confirmed to Perform at 2018 SXSW
Keith Urban is headed to Austin's famed South by Southwest 2018 music conference, where on March 16 he'll present a speaking engagement and then later in the evening rock the house with a performance at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater outdoor stage.
Urban's talk, which was announced last October, is titled “Creation and Connection: A Conversation with Keith Urban,” and will be held at the Austin Convention Center at 12:30 PM. It will feature the superstar's thoughts on his creative process and various career moves. It was not clarified at that time if Urban would be performing, but now fans know he will definitely be doing so!
Urban will be joining the live set of music which begins 8 PM at the famed barbecue joint, and includes appearances from Devon Gilfillian, Lauren Ruth Ward, and Larkin Poe in addition to Urban's headlining set.
Urban's forthcoming 10th studio album, Graffiti U, is on tap for 2018—which he announced during a popup show in Nashville Jan. 17. Urban debuted several songs from the upcoming recrod at that show: "Parallel Line," "Steal My Thunder," "Same Heart" and "Texas Time." There's no official release date yet, but Urban is slated to launch a tour on June 15 in St. Louis, Mo. The tour will run for 58 shows in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up in November, and Kelsea Ballerini is joining Urban on the road as his support act.
