Local Superhero Teams Up With Boys & Girls Club For Fun Event

There's fun to be had on July 28th, so mark your calendars! Local author, artist, and super hero Shad Thompson has teamed up with The Boys and Girls Club of Nacogdoches to bring an exciting event for the kids, and kids at heart.

If you have kids, if you're a cosplayer, a vendor, or just want to help make the 28th of July 2018 an unforgettable day for everyone, come to the 1st ever Kidz Book Zone Super Hero Festival! There will be free snacks, water, games, and activities for the kids

It all starts at 11:11 AM on July 28th, 2018.

Shad is inviting cosplayers to join him in keeping the summer super by creating an opportunity to stay cool and get some free photo opportunities with your old favorites and Shad's very own creations pulled right out of the pages of his books.

While Shad's heroes are all 'melanin gifted African power houses,' he welcomes all heroes of any race, gender, or anything that makes us different and special.
