New Look For Burger King in Lufkin Promises a Fresh Dining Vibe
Who came up with the idea for the McRib sandwich at McDonald's? What about the addition of kids' play areas at fast-food eateries? How about the redesign of Taco Bell restaurants? Major players such as these usually have a corporate think tank whose main job is to come up with ideas and promotions to increase the viability of their restaurant(s). It looks like the Burger King at 209 S. Timberland Drive is about to benefit from one of these new concepts.
Burger King Brings The 'Sizzle'
The innovators at Burger King recently introduced its new 'Sizzle' concept, the company's latest attempt to freshen the brand and deliver a more appealing dining experience for its customers. Don't worry, their signature flame-grilled burgers are not on the chopping block. This is all part of the company's 'Reclaim the Flame' initiative, which was introduced in 2023. Since that time, numerous BK locations have been renovated to Sizzle standards, with many more upgrades on the way.
What Is The 'Sizzle'?
This is much more than a coat of paint on a fading wall. According to a post on BurgerBeast.com, this complete redesign will incorporate "double-lane drive-thrus, digital kiosks, open-flame grills visible to customers, and interiors that feel closer to fast-casual than fast food." Some new menu items and options may also be a possibility.
Whether or not the Burger King on Timberland Drive in Lufkin will add all these extras remains to be seen. But the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows this location receiving a $550,000 remodel, complete with a dining area and exterior elevation upgrades, plus modifications to its electrical and HVAC systems. This is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. How closely it will resemble the remodeled BK in the video below remains to be seen.
