Loretta Lynn Offers Fans Heartfelt Message After Stroke
Loretta Lynn is still recovering from a stroke that occurred in May, and her camp has been keeping fans up to date on how she’s doing. On July 1, though, she did it herself, addressing fans in a heartfelt audio message.
The legend recorded a message for her fans expressing her gratitude for their support and her well wishes for a happy 4th of July, which was broadcast during her daughter Patsy’s 4th of July weekend concert at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
“This is Loretta Lynn, and, uh, Happy 4th of July! And, come back again next year, and you all have a good time this year,” Lynn says in the recording. “And thank you all for all the prayers, and I love you.”
Country Stars Who Have Suffered Terrible Tragedy
One fan in the audience recorded the experience and posted it to YouTube. The Loretta Lynn Ranch Facebook page later confirmed its authenticity on July 4, sharing the video with fans and further updating them on her condition.
“Ms. Loretta is making improvements and getting stronger every day, and she knows her fans are praying for her. She can’t wait to come back and sing for you all. Thank you so much for your support."
Lynn suffered a stroke May 4 at her home in Tennessee and was admitted to a Nashville hospital, but she is expected to make a full recovery. She was moved to a rehab facility mid-May, but had to cancel two shows in July. Her brother recently posted an update that shared she has been talking and walking around lately, noting she can get around by using a walker.
