Lufkin Lighted Christmas Parade Starts Tonight at 6

The weather should be perfect for tonight's annual lighted Christmas parade in downtown Lufkin.  Over 100 entries representing businesses, organizations, schools, bands, and much more will be winding through the streets.  

'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree' is this year's theme and as always, Santa Claus himself will be making an appearance during the parade.  The all-new KICKS 105 pick-up will be in this year's event with Danny Merrell once again providing tunes and commentary from the back.

There will be many different great viewing areas along the parade route.  You are welcome to bring chairs, plus you may want to consider some blankets.  Temperatures at parade time should be dropping into the lower 60s.  Announcers of the parade will be located in front of the Pines Theater and in front of the Court House on Lufkin Avenue.    Music will be played at both locations starting at 5:00 pm.
