Lufkin Native Ends Run on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Lufkin's Dave Fenley made it all the way to the semi-final round of America's Got Talent, but that great run came to an end Wednesday night.Fenley performed on the show Tuesday night, and was eliminated during Wednesday's live show.  But it was still great exposure!  An artist doesn't necessarily have to win a show to gain a career boost from it.  Chris Daughtry didn't win, but was a top 5 finisher on American Idol, and is still one of the best-selling Idols to date.

Dave Fenley's website says he can be compared to Joe Cocker and Otis Redding, and he started singing at the age of two, right here in Lufkin.  His future is bright, even without a reality TV win.
