Lufkin PD Asking for Public’s Help in Locating Missing Teenager
The Lufkin Police Department is hoping the public can help provide clues as to the whereabouts of a Lufkin teenager who was last seen at a local convenience store Monday morning. The girl's name is Johana Guardado and she is 15-years-old.
According to authorities, Guardado was last seen on surveillance video being picked up in a silver 2012 Chevy car at a Chevron station near Lufkin High School Monday morning. The license plate of the vehicle is NRX-5891. Guardado did not attend classes Monday after her mother dropped her at school around 8 a.m.
Police believe that Guardado may be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana visiting a friend. They also do not believe that the teenager is in imminent danger at this time, however, family members are very worried and want her to know that they miss her and love her very much. Family and friends are hoping that Guardado will place a phone call to them to assure them that she is alright.
Johana Guardado is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes, 5’1, 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue Honduras jacket, black T-shirt with a red logo, black Adidas jogging pants and multi-colored checkered Vans.
Anyone with information on Johana’s location is asked to call the Lufkin Police Department at 936-633-0356 or Lufkin Crime Stoppers at 936-639-TIPS if they wish to remain anonymous.
