Congratulations are in order for eighteen Lufkin High School students who qualified for state competition at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional Competition. The event was held at Dayton High School on January 20.

Lufkin competes in a region that includes schools from Angelina, Nacogdoches, Shelby, Sabine, San Augustine, Houston, Trinity, Polk, Tyler, Jasper, Newton, Hardin, Liberty, Chambers, Orange, and Jefferson Counties.

The qualifiers from Lufkin High School will now advance to the state BPA competition which will be held in Corpus Christi from February 28 to March 3.
