Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie Take Audience Back to the ’80s With Commodores Cover [Watch]
Just one of the perks of being Luke Bryan is you get to sing with your musical heroes -- on more than one occasion.
Bryan has gone on record saying Lionel Richie is one of his all-time favorites, and he often performs the legend’s songs at his shows. On Dec. 30, Richie turned the tables and surprised Bryan’s fans at a show in Las Vegas by coming out to sing one of his songs alongside the country star.
Bryan introduced Richie to the crowd, gushing about how much he loves the pop and R&B singer before announcing his entrance. The audience cheered enthusiastically for the artist as he walked on stage and explained that he’s always getting notices that Bryan is performing his songs on tour, so Richie wanted to come sing one in person with Bryan. Richie began a hit by his band the Commodores called “Oh No,” a ballad that Bryan was all too excited to join in on.
