Remember When Luke Perry Presented at the ACM Awards?
Actor Luke Perry put on a black cowboy hat and stood alongside country music royalty when he presented a prestigious award to Alan Jackson at the 1994 ACM Awards.
The actor joined Naomi Judd to hand out the Single Record of the Year award. Jackson was nominated for "Chattahoochee" and his win in this category was one of two on the night. However, today an award for this iconic country song takes a back seat to the man presenting.
Perry died on Monday (March 4) at the age of 52 after being hospitalized following a stroke last Thursday (Feb. 28). The actor is best know as Dylan McKay in the '90s television series Beverly Hills 90210.
The Ohio born-and-raised actor didn't enter country music circles in any other memorable ways, although he did co-star in a 2010 movie with LeAnn Rimes called Good Intentions, and in 2005 he and Judd would again pose for photos together at an awards giving, this time the Television Critic's Association awards. Most recently Perry starred in a CW series called Riverdale. He leaves behind two children, a fiancee and many grieving friends and family members.
