Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce Names Annual Awards Recipients
The Nacogdoches County Chamber’s annual awards selection committee met recently to review nominations and name the recipients.
“We are quite privileged in Nacogdoches to have so many incredible individuals and businesses working hard to make our community the place to live and work,” Chairman Dr. Ryan Head said. “The chamber board is proud to recognize these well-deserving recipients for their contributions to our County.”
The 2024 Gary Justice Business Excellence Awards as well as the Citizen of the Year, the Non Profit of the Year and the C. Wayne Mitchell Advocacy Award recipients are:
- West Fraser, Large Business of the Year - award sponsored by R & K Distributors, Inc.
- Badders Law Firm, Medium Business of the Year - award sponsored by Regions Bank.
- Ted Smith, State Farm Insurance, Small Business of the Year - award sponsored by Commercial Bank of Texas.
- John Ruckel, Citizen of the Year - award sponsored by Tipton Ford;
- Federation of Women’s Clubs, Non Profit of the Year - award sponsored by Charles Pool Real Estate, Inc.
- State Representative Travis Clardy, C. Wayne Mitchell Advocacy Award - award sponsored by SERVPRO.
The honorees will be recognized at the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce 102nd Annual Meeting and Membership Banquet on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at The Fredonia Hotel and Convention Center, 200 N. Fredonia St.
The 2024-2025 chamber board of directors will be inducted at the event.
