Nacogdoches Deputies Arrest Garrison Man

According to a press release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department, a Garrison man was arrested and booked into the county jail Sunday following allegations that he inappropriately touched a juvenile.

Indecency With a Child

The report states that Cedric Johnson, 48, faces three second-degree felony charges for indecency with a child, with sexual contact.

Details of the Alleged Crime

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) recounts that Johnson was brought to the attention of NCSO investigators when a young woman made an outcry that he had made overtly sexual gestures and advances towards her while at his home in the 200 block of County Road 128 on at least three separate occasions.

This is located just north of Appleby, Texas off of State Highway 59.

Details of the Arrest

Based on information gathered from interviews with the victim, investigators obtained three warrants for Johnson’s arrest. He was taken into custody at his home without incident.

Repeat Offender

Cedric Johnson is a registered sex offender who is required to register for life. Johnson was incarcerated at the Nacogdoches County jail on bonds totaling $150,000 for the three charges.

This investigation by detectives with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office continues and more details will be released if and when conditions and details warrant.
