Nacogdoches Deputies Arrest Four on Drug Charges During Traffic Stop
Four felony arrests were made early Monday morning by Nacogdoches County Deputies after conducting a traffic stop. Around 4:30 a.m., deputies with the Sheriff's Office observed a vehicle traveling north bound on highway 259 that failed to dim headlights to oncoming traffic.
Deputes conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found the vehicle was occupied by four male subjects from Memphis, Tennessee. Deputies observed the subjects were very nervous and asked the driver if there were any drugs in the vehicle. The driver admitted to having drugs inside the car. A search of the car revealed 160 pounds of codeine inside the trunk. All four subjects were taken into custody.
Dontelly Dickerson, 26, (top left), Michael Farley, 25, (top right), Venzel Holloway, 25, (bottom right), and Richard Telford, 24, (bottom right), were charged with possession of a controlled substance which is a 1st degree felony. Bond was set by the justice of the peace at $150,000. Dickerson was also charged with an outstanding warrant for possession of controlled substance out of Fort Bend County.
Investigators with the Sheriff's Office are also working with the Houston Police Department to try and identify if the drugs were possibly stolen from a pharmacy in the Houston area. The investigation is ongoing.
