Nacogdoches Gets Ready for Texas’ Biggest Mud Racing Competition

In 2004, the first ever Great Texas Mud Race was held on the grounds of the Nacogdoches Expo Center.  Now, this event has evolved into the largest mud racing competition in the state of Texas, and one of the top 3 competitive mud racing events in the U.S.   

The 12th Annual Great Texas Mud Race is coming this Friday and Saturday (Aug 7th and 8th) to the Nacogdoches Expo Center Fairgrounds.  Classes ranging from Street Stock all the way up to 3000 horsepower blown alcohol mud dragsters will be featured in this year's event.  This includes some of the fastest and wild side by side racing you have ever seen.

Advance discount tickets are available at O'Reilly Auto Parts stores in Lufkin and Nacogdoches.  Cost of the tickets is $12 for adults and $7 for kids. Presale discount tickets will only be available until close of business this Friday at the O'Reilly Auto Parts stores.  Gates will open each evening at 6, and the racing starts at 7.
