As a former Navy Blue Angel pilot, John Foley is used to going above and beyond.  Heck, that was the nature of his job.  It's wonderful to see that he continues to do that as a motivational speaker.

Foley's job since he retired as a precision pilot is to incite others to positive action.  His words speak volumes, but his actions speak even louder.  According to a release from the Nacogdoches Independent School District, Foley spoke on August 19th at the annual NISD convocation.  He talked about the importance of team work, trust and achieving high performance.  He shared stories about persistence, hard work and the will to overcome obstacles and setbacks….something everyone can relate to.

Mr. Foley even went so far as to pledge part of his speaking fee to go to the Nacogdoches United Way. Through donations, our local United Way funds local agencies that work to impact local issues of concern.  They have been able to improve the well-being of over 39,000 people in our community each year.  99% of all money raised stays in our community.

This week Gary Ashcraft, President and CEO Nacogdoches United Way, received a check for $700.00.

Mr. Ashcraft says “I have never been moved so much by a speaker before. John Foley is an inspiration to me.  Our school district was blessed to have him speak to them and give them tools to motivate students.”

John Foley spoke of three traits one needs to be a High Performer:  First, a contagious attitude of thankfulness that Mr. Foley calls Glad To Be Here®. Second, an energizing delivery that inspires High Performance and service to others. And third, a have a practical model for living out a message of teamwork, trust and innovation.
