Newcomer Jana Kramer‘s voice will soon be heard more than ever before, as the brown-haired ‘One Tree Hill’ star has signed on to sing the well-known Nationwide Insurance jingle, ‘On Your Side,’ in a new series of commercials.

The new television advertisements for Nationwide — featuring the actress-turned-singer’s signature vocals — launched as part of the company’s new integrated national marketing campaign.’ The commercials debuted during the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics and will continue to air nationally throughout the next year.

“‘Nationwide is on your side‘ is familiar to many people,” says Matt Jauchius, Nationwide’s Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. “We’re pleased to have such a talented young artist help bring it to life.”

Meanwhile, on country radio, Kramer’s fans are soaking up all they can of her Top 10 hit, ‘Why Ya Wanna,’ which has become a summertime smash. The tune continues to build momentum at a record pace, almost tying previous records set by female country newcomers — like what Taylor Swift did with her debut hit, ‘Tim McGraw,’ back in 2006.

To date, Kramer has sold over 700,000 single tracks, including almost half a million copies of ‘Why Ya Wanna.’ The tune is the latest release from the singer’s self-titled debut album that hit stores in June. The week following its release, ‘Jana Kramer’ debuted at No. 5 on the country albums chart.

The new star on the rise is currently on the road as part of Brad Paisley‘s Virtual Reality Tour, performing on the Virtual Opry Stage throughout the fall months.
