New Country Music We Can’t Wait for in 2017: Spring Edition
Little Big Town and Brantley Gilbert have highlighted a strong first three months of new country music releases in 2017, but projects from some of country music's biggest hitmakers — and recent award winners — are still to come.
Albums and singles from Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton are found on this list of new music we can't wait for, spring edition. Rhett's album is mostly recorded (he spent January in the studio) and Stapleton's still-unnamed project has a release date of May 5. Will he stick with the sound that made him famous on Traveller? Why wouldn't he?
RaeLynn's Wildhorse, Sam Hunt's follow-up to Montevallo and a new album from critical darling Charlie Worsham are dropping this spring. We've heard bits and pieces — or in RaeLynn's case, the whole thing — of each and promise they're worth the hype.
This list of country music we can't wait for is diverse, with Stapleton fans not necessarily embracing Hunt's music and vice versa. But homogeneity makes for a boring day, so we chose five albums that touch all corners of the format. Which album are you most excited for? Tell us your reason why in the comments section below.
You'll find a full list of albums that have release dates below. Rumored projects by Shania Twain, Luke Bryan and Brett Eldredge also seem promising. And then there's the new album from Kelsea Ballerini. Perhaps they'll make the summer edition of this list.
