The Lufkin Panthers have advanced to the regional semifinal round of the Texas High School Football Playoffs.  The Pack has disposed of Rockwall Heath (28-7) and Richardson Pearch (35-18) in the first two playoff rounds.

Now, the Panthers will turn their attention to one of the top 6A teams in the state in Spring Westfield.  Lufkin enters the clash with a 10-2 mark while Westfield is perfect in 12 games this season.  The game will kick off Saturday at 1:30 at Texan Drive Stadium in Porter.

A city wide pep rally will be held Friday at 4:15 p.m.  The rally will take place in front of Lufkin High School by the flag pole.  Following the event, you'll be able to have your vehicle painted in Panther colors and logos.  That service will be offered until about 6 p.m.

Tickets for the game will be on sale from 8:30-4:30 through Friday at the LISD Administration building.  There will also be a high school age fan bus going to the game.  Tickets to ride the bus are $10 each, this cost will include one student ticket to the game.

Remember to catch the exclusive broadcast of the game on KICKS 105.  The pregame show will start at 1 p.m with the voice of the Panthers, the Big Nasty - Gary Ivins.
