People Are Obsessed With This Bedazzled Truck In Austin, Texas
Odd Ball Kustom Garage in Austin has been working hard on a special truck. They took us along for the ride by making an entire TikTok account.
The task started with taking an old rusty brown C10 and restoring it. Most shops would have just stopped there.
It looked great and had a fresh coat of silver paint when they were done. Odd Ball Kustom Garage then went one step further and made this truck something that could have inspired Glen Campbell's 1975 hit, Rhinestone Cowboy.
Stoned Square Body Took Over 3 Months To Complete In Austin, Texas
They started working on the truck in August of this year. After the bones of the truck were complete the real work started.
They then started placing the hundreds of thousands of rhinestones neatly on the vehicle. There are 3,345 crystals in just one strip of the driver's door.
They took special care to start on body lines and make every last placement just perfect. There are a few places on the truck that aren't bedazzled, so they wrapped them in chrome rainbow vinyl.
Fully Bedazzled Square Body Sierra Classic Chevrolet C10 Truck At ACL In Austin
They debuted the truck at the Austin City Limits Festival in Zilker Park. I went a few years ago, and I would have been amazed if this had been there.
It even had custom Austin City Limits badging on the side. Don't worry, the emblems also got a chrome rainbow look.
This was a crazy build to get done in three months. It led to a lot of sleepless nights for the crew and families of Odd Ball Kustoms.
I really enjoyed following them on TikTok and seeing it all come together. It could have been tacky, but it is just perfect.
Their next project could be a 56 Chevrolet Pickup truck, but it will take a lot to top this build. Take a look at it in all its glory when you attend ACL this weekend or take a look at it below.
