Make Way for Baby: Pregnant Country Wives Walk the CMT Red Carpet [Pictures]
If you hadn't noticed the country music baby boom before, you couldn't miss it at the 2017 CMT Music Awards on June 7. Four wives of country men walked, sporting varying sized bumps.
Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard, LoCash's Chris Lucas and Thomas Rhett are the country singers who will become fathers for the first time or again in 2017. Of the group, Rhett's wife Lauren Akins is due to deliver first. The couple's first biological baby, a girl, is due August 8 and will join a big sister the pair adopted earlier this year.
Aldean's wife Brittany sported a tiny bump by comparison. In fact, the two friends even joked about it on Akins' Instagram page:
Lucas and wife Kaitlyn are expecting their third child in September, just over a year after having a baby girl named Remi. Kaitlyn is noticeably showing, and both seemed proud to share in pictures captured on the 2017 CMT Music Awards red carpet.
Finally, add the newest expecting mother. FGL's Hubbard shared that wife Hayley was expecting just a day before the awards show, saying they're looking forward to a December due date. Hayley has been dealing with some severe morning sickness during her first trimester, but the couple say they're nothing short of thrilled to become first-time parents this year.
