Reel United Big Bass Tournament on Sam Rayburn, Get Updates Here
The 6th Annual Reel United Bass Tournament is taking place Saturday, June 10 at Lake Sam Rayburn. The event features cash payouts for the 10 biggest bass every hour. The angler bringing the largest bass of the hour wins $1250. The top prize for the biggest overall bass will get a guaranteed $5,000 dollars provided by Jordan’s Marine and Phoenix Boats.
Fishing will officially start at 6 a.m. on Saturday, with the first weigh-in hour coming at 7 a.m. Hourly weigh-ins at Umphrey Family Pavilion will continue until 2 p.m. Anglers are allowed to boat or trailer their catch to the pavilion which is located off Highway 255, just east of the Sam Rayburn Dam.
There will also be a junior division for anglers 15 years of age and younger. Awards and prizes will be given to the top 10 overall junior anglers at the conclusion of the tournament. There is no charge to enter the junior division.
The 6th Annual Reel United Bass Tournament is once again presented by Valero and Diamond Green Diesel. The event supports the wonderful efforts of the United Way of Mid and South Jefferson County.
