St Cyprian’s Students Excel at Archery Competition
St. Cyprian's School in Lufkin has become well known through the past years as one of the area's premiere private schools. Their dyslexia education program is one of the best in the state. And over the past few years, the craft of shooting a bow and arrow is also something their students excel in.
Students from St. Cyprian's recently competed in a state archery competition in Belton, TX. In that event, 4th grader, Garrett Thomas and 2nd grader, Russell Reid received awards. Reid scored 1st place in the 4th grade division as a 2nd grader and Thomas scored 2nd place in the 4th grade division. Both boys will be going to nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. Reid was also presented with a green bow for making 1st place.
