Target Is Releasing Halloween Costumes For Kids In Wheelchairs
If you didn't love Target already, here is yet another reason to be a fan of the retail store.
Target just released a sneak peak of their 2019 Halloween Collection. There, you will find every thing from treats and decor, to costumes for men, women, and children. The catalog also revealed a new line of costumes called the ‘Adaptive Costume Collection’. This collection consists of costumes made just for kids in wheelchairs.
As of now, there are only options, one for boys and one for girls.
The Boys’ Adaptive Pirate Costume Collection comes in two different pieces. The first piece is the costume for the child and the second piece is the "costume" for the wheelchair.
The Girls’ Adaptive Princess Halloween Costume Collection is much like the boys costume, as it comes in two separate pieces. You can see the costume below.
These Adaptive Costume Collections from Target, were both "designed with an opening in the back that lends ease of dressing, great for giving kids who use wheelchairs an extra hand and a sense of comfort," according to the product descriptions.
This is such an awesome thing for kids who want to participate in the Trick or Treating events. I have to believe that these are just the first of many costumes made specifically for children in wheelchairs.
