Congratulations to the Tenaha Tigers basketball team as they have now advanced to the state championship game in Division 1 of Class 1A in Austin.

The Tigers didn't have to rely on late game heroics this time as they dismantled the tournament's number one seed Thursday morning.

Tenaha trailed after the opening period, but then came on to some hot shooting to defeat Clarendon 72-59.  Octavius Griffith (pictured above), led the charge with 28 points while Reginald Davis chipped in 18 points.  Check out the entire box score for the game by clicking here.

Tenaha improves their record to 28-9 and now advances to take on Clyde Eula in Saturday morning's championship game.  Eula improved to 36-2 on the year by edging Evadale 54-51 in the other semifinal.
