The Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome several new businesses in the area.

Dr. David Sees and Dr. Hunter Looney - Woodland Heights

Woodland Heights welcomes two new doctors to their facility and to the Chamber of Commerce. Dr. David Sees and Dr. Hunter Looney are seen as new assets not only to the Woodland Heights Center but also to the East Texas area.

Dr. Sees comes with over twenty years of medical experience in the military. Where he was completed his internship and residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, TX. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Texas A&M University, he is a board-certified in cardiothoracic surgery and his office is located at the Woodland Heights Cardiothoracic Associates #10 Medical Center Blvd. Suite J in Lufkin right next to the Woodland heights Medical Center. Dr. Hunter Looney is a family practice physician who has an extensive background in medicine receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia after studying at Oxford University in England. Recently Dr. Looney has just completed his family medicine residency at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown where he served as chief resident. Bryan Harkness

The Chamber Of Commerce introduces its first musician into the chamber - local music producer Bryan Harkness.

Harkness has a strong passion for music that he intends on showing the East Texas area. He has been heavily involved in the music industry since he started playing at the young age of ten years old. He turned professional at 18 years old and toured with fellow country music singers Ray Price and Gene Watson.

Harkness has been spreading his knowledge and experience with others willing to learn for the better part of the decade, being equipped in most instruments, his specialties are the guitar and bass.

Pineywoods Community Academy

Pineywoods Community Academy is an open enrollment campus available to all Angelina County residents. The curriculum entitles dealing with problems of the 21st century, all while requiring excellence in literacy, math and science.
