One more thing that we can count on about fall in addition to pumpkin spice everything and creepy clowns...pumpkin patches!  And this one is popular, so book your spot now, before it sells out.

The Texas State Railroad's Pumpkin Patch in Piney Woods opens October 7th, and it will be open every Saturday and Sunday through the 29th.

Kids and adults can the historic rails from the Rusk train depot to Texas State Railroad’s Pumpkin Patch, with rides taking off at 10am and 1pm on those weekend days in October.  And they tell us at TexasStateRailroad.net that you can even go in costume if you want.  It's meant to be a fun-not-frightening time, so if you could leave the creepy clown "IT" costume at home that would be awesome.

Prices range from $30 to $75 per ticket for the ride, and that includes a 90-minute layover at the pumpkin patch.  It's an adventure that includes spooky music and safe trick-or-treating, and even a bounce house.  It's a social media moment waiting to happen.

If you want to book your spot, don't wait to long because they tell us it's popular and fills up fast.  Click HERE for the reservation info.

Have we mentioned lately that Texas is awesome?  Yes!  We have so much to do here, and it usually involves fun music, food on a stick, and getting into a fun fall theme. Even if you're anti-pumpkin spice you can still enjoy this patch with your fam, right?   All aboard.  We'll see you at the patch.
