The South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Open House is a special event featuring Aaron Sims Lieutenant, State of Texas Game Warden according to their website and Facebook page.

Get out to support this great cause and see what happens 'behind the scenes' Saturday April 6th from 11 am - 2 pm according to Lubbock in the Loop.

A wide variety of wildlife has been rescued and is being rehabilitated until it can be released back to the wild. A lot of volunteer work goes into making this happen.

Volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer your questions and this Open House only happens twice a year.

I've had the opportunity to visit and tour and it's a unique experience definitely worth taking time for. Cost is a $1 donation.

Parking is available at the Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, just south of the Wildlife Center located at 3308 95th Street in Lubbock. You can follow this link to their website for more details!
