On this day in 2010, Zac Brown Band's "Highway 20 Ride" jumped to #1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard's country singles charts marking the band's third #1 single behind "Chicken Fried" and "Toes".

Today in 1992, Garth Brooks had the top three albums on the Billboard country albums chart –garth's debut album was at #3, No Fences at #2 and Ropin' The Wind was #1.

Montgomery Gentry's Troy Gentry celebrates his 44th birthday today… the duo recently signed a new record deal with Average Joe's Entertainment.

And on this day in 1989, Alabama received a gold record for their album Southern Star.
