Country music's Top 40 songs for August include a song or two not found on the radio, proving there's a growing cap between what fans purchase and what fans hear during their commute. The top-selling song is No. 3 on this list even though the artist has never cracked the Top 40!

A couple of Lukes — Luke Bryan and Luke Combs — lead this August 2019 list of the hottest songs in country music. Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert make big leaps this month, but the biggest leap goes to Matt Stell. "Prayed for You" moves up 24 spots to No. 15 as the song is now a Top 20 radio hit.

New songs from Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks also fair well this month. What's the song you can't quit right now?

The list of Top 40 Country Songs of August 2019 is compiled from Billboard chart data and sales figures, in addition to staff opinion and reader feedback.
