“Amarillo By Morning” was one of George Strait's first and still, despite a monumental career, one of his biggest hits. When King George returned to play Gruene Hall back in 2016, the new version of the classic song was recorded, but the video wasn't released until just last month.

"Amarillo By Morning" was written by Terry Stafford and Paul Fraser. The song was released on Strait's 1982 album, Strait from the Heart, and it peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Country Chart.
