I remember seeing Garth Brooks in concert when he brought his tour to the William R. Johnson Coliseum on the campus of SFA in Nacogdoches.  Martina McBride was his opening act, and the concert was sold out and a huge success.  Garth was phenomenal.

He also was in concert in Nacogdoches a few years earlier at a club called Bullwinkles.  Granted, Garth was just starting to get his career rolling, but what an opportunity that was...to see someone with Garth's talent and showmanship on a dive bar stage.  That's something that will never happen again...or will it?

Earlier in the Summer, Garth Brooks announced that he would be doing 7 'Dive Bar' tour stops to promote his new single.  The venues are no where near the coliseums he used to packing.  These are bars that have a capacity of somewhere between 500-1000 folk.  His first stop was at Joe's on Weed Street in Chicago, next was Buck Owens' Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California, and his third stop will be at historic Gruene Hall near New Braunfels, Texas on Monday, September 23rd. It's going to be a crazy and congested venue, I'll admit that, but this will be one of those 'Once in a Lifetime' events.

There is no way to buy tickets for this show.  All tickets will be given away through radio station promotions, and most of those station giveaways will take place in and around the Austin and San Antonio area. However, YOU CAN WIN TICKETS WITH KICKS 105!  Yup, we've got some to giveaway.

Monday, September 9th through Thursday, September 19th, we'll play a Garth song every hour, and then we'll pass along a code word following each song.  Those words are your ticket to winning.
