Who Lies More – Men Or Women? And What’s The Most Common Lie?

We all do it --- the telling of untruths.

From little white fibs to bold-faced lies, we all stretch the truth a number of times each day.  But which gender tells more lies, and what are the most common falsehoods? 

According to this study which was commissioned by WKD, a drinks brand from the United Kingdom, men lie more than woman...by a lot.  For every 3 lies that a woman tells, men tell 5.   And we guys average about 1400 lies per year.

Now, keep in mind, most of these are not your malicious variety of untruths.  The majority of lies we tell would be considered harmless by many, such as, "I'm on my way", "The server crashed", "It's so great to see you again", or the number one lie "I'm fine".
