In 2024, Angelina Beautiful Clean (ABC) will be celebrating its 40th year of educating and empowering East Texans to take responsibility for enhancing their community environment.

Over the past four decades, ABC has been a major reason behind the projects of beautification throughout Angelina County. They have hosted numerous recycling events and their annual Fall Sweep Event is just around the corner (November 17)

Angelina Beautiful Clean and its proud community members work diligently to maintain, enhance, and preserve through beautification and environmental education their part of Texas.

The organization's biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up on Friday, November 3 at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in downtown Lufkin. Angelina Beautiful Clean's 2023 Casino Night will be taking place.

You're invited to try your luck at thrilling casino games. There will also be delicious food, drinks, and the opportunity to mingle with friends. This will be an unforgettable red carpet-evening filled with community spirit! Cocktail attire is suggested.

Anyone wanting to purchase tickets or a table to the Casino Night may click here.

For those who want to take part in the upcoming Fall Sweep Event, here are the instructions from ABC:

  1. Gather your coworkers, friends, family, volunteers and clean up your Adopt-A-Highway two-mile stretch.  (We provide trash bags, gloves and vests.)

  2. You set the time for cleanup. Before work. After work. During your lunch hour. It’s up to you. Just have fun with your team as you clean. We’d ask that all volunteers be finished by 6 p.m.

  3. Send a photo of your clean-up to kshrout@lufkintexas.org.
