The Angelina College softball program can add two more names to its growing list of All-American players, with Miranda Wiggins and Kaylee Parker making the lists as announced on Wednesday.
The 2017 UIL Track and Field State Championships in Austin will get underway Thursday evening, May 11th and continue through Saturday, May13th, and Deep East Texas will be well-represented at the meet.
When you have the kind of success that the Angelina College softball team has had this season, which includes record setting totals in wins and homers, you're bound to put a few players on the Region XIV All-Conference team.

The Angelina College Roadrunners were a couple of outs away from having to perform some serious mathematical equations to determine their chances for making the post-season. But after a seven-run, ninth-inning rally ended in a walk-off and a dog pile, the ‘Runners can now book their hotel rooms in Sugar Land.
According to a press release from Angelina College, Kaylee “KK” Parker signed a letter of intent to join the Lady ‘Runners beginning in the fall of 2016.
The rumors started swirling Sunday and this afternoon, the SFA Athletic Department has made it official. Texas A&M Assistant Coach Kyle Keller has been selected as the new Lumberjack Head Coach.
The Stephen F. Austin basketball team spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Las Vegas at the Continental Tires Invitational Basketball Tournament. Although the Lumberjacks may have missed out on the traditional Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends, they did feast on the competition and ended up bringing home the tourney championship.
